Chief daydreamer
Hey, I’m Ambs, founder of D’Essential Social Media, your local Social Media Manager with over 10 years of experience in the Design industry.
I mix my passion for creative content with a purpose-driven mission: helping local businesses find their voice online so they have the best possible chance for success.
With a BA (Hons) in Media and a PGCE in DT & Primary Education, I bring together creativity, strategy, and empathy to connect brands with their communities in a real and meaningful way.
Alongside running D’Essential, I also teach young people online with SEND/SEMH, so inclusion and accessibility are woven into everything I do.
When I’m not crafting content or chatting strategy with my YETI in hand, you’ll probably find me exploring with James (My Fiance), doing something crafty/creative, or enjoying a cosy film in a blanket with Rosie (our cat).

How I Work
Working with me is all about making social media feel simple, calm, and human.
Here’s what you can expect when we work together:

Book in a friendly informal chat and we’ll talk all about your business, your goals, and how you want your brand to feel online. We’ll discuss why you think you need the social media support and which of my 3 packages would suit you the most. If you’re wanting everything done for you, then we will also discuss this - keeping your budget and your goals in mind the whole way through.

I’ll put together your package that outlines exactly what I’ll do every month for you, and how long our contract will be together. (Please bear in mind that it takes a minimum of 3-6 months of posting on social media to see true positive results in your business)

I’ll send you over your package and once you’re happy with it, you’ll then read through your contract, get it signed, and get the money sent over for me to start our exciting journey together.

This form will ask you a whole heap of questions about your business and your goals to ensure that your social media platforms are showcasing exactly what you want them to - this is to make the content approval process much smoother as this questionnaire will allow me to get a real feel for you and your business. This will also include a section where you’ll be able to share your log in details.

My signature onboarding process includes me doing some behind the scenes admin, then collating and sending you across your file for you to give a read over, and then you can book your hour long 1:1 call to discuss everything in your file so we are both on the same page!
Your file will be full of the following exciting things:
A friendly welcome guide and ‘jargon buster’.
Your new strategy that fits you, your tone and your audience.
A custom visual style guide to define goals, audience and messaging.
Competition analysis to compare your new strategy to other businesses in your niche.
Our communication expectations for each other including gaining access to our shared space. -
I’ll create your bespoke content calendar for our first month working together which will include everything we discussed and agreed upon in our contract. You’ll have a read over it and give it your approval.

You’ll be able to book in a content shoot day where I will come in and get a bank full of exciting pictures and videos for your business ready to be used for your socials!

I will then create your content for the upcoming month, regardless of what package you have decided to choose, I always aim to work between 2-4 weeks in advance of posting. Your content will be created and uploaded into our shared space so you will then get time to view these and give your approval (or feedback for revision). I always allow 1 revision of content to make sure it’s exactly what you’re after.

Regardless of what package you choose, I’ll be by your side to help your socials grow and flow. If you ever have a question (no matter how big or small) about anything I’ve said or made for you, just ask away and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible!
